In The Smokeshop
This week on theMangoTimes Podcast, I am kicking off a new series called: In The Smokeshop With Pop, where I sit down and interview my dad on-air.
Why did I decide to launch 'In the Smoke Shop with Pop'? Well, who wouldn't jump at the chance to chat with a sharp 95-year-old guy who has more stories than a library? Besides, I figure recording my dad's wise cracks and life tales now means I get to keep a part of him forever—and if I am being honest, he has the potential of unintentionally being one of the funniest guys in your podcast library.
We kick off this first pipe smoke-filled session, with a quick bit of time-travel back to the 1930s and '40s as Pop reminisces about his depression era childhood . As the series unfolds, I'll coax him into talking about his diverse career, his take on family life, and yes, even his unfiltered thoughts on today's world happenings.
And here's where you come in—this isn't just a father-son chat while we smoke pipes (but it is!).
We want your questions too! Got something you're itching to ask a guy who's seen nearly a century of life? Follow this link and shoot your questions our way:
Once you navigate, you can send in your question or even record your voice and send it in for us to play on the air. Trust me, Pop’s ready to tackle anything you ask, no matter how spicy or controversial you want to get!
So, tune in this week for a snapshot of history, a bit of wisdom, and some fun as I head out to ‘the Smoke Shop with Pop.'
Quietly making noise,
Fletch
